- ThurWiki
- AI assistant
An AI that sees only what you see.
Rovo in Confluence is tied to the Atlassian cloud and bills against credit allowances. The ThurWiki assistant runs on your key or on a model in your own house, works with your rights, and writes only when you tick the box.
Four rules that make it useful rather than dangerous.
An assistant that sees everything and may do anything is not a gain in a company wiki, it is a risk. These rules sit in the product, not in a policy that somebody would have to remember to follow.
- Your rights, and no more. HR asks about salaries and gets an answer; the apprentice asks the same question and gets none – and no hint that such a page exists.
- Writing only when ticked. Without "may write" it only reads. With the box ticked it shows what it intends to do, and you decide.
- Under your name. Every change appears in the history like any other, with comparison and restore. No anonymous author called "AI".
- A model in your own house, if that is what you want. Ollama or LiteLLM for confidential company matters. For that the address of your server has to be entered; without it the access cannot be saved.
- Every step is on show. Above the answer: which search it ran and which pages it read; below it the model, the time taken and the number of tokens. No answer without its origin – and no bill that only turns up at the end of the month.

What it does.

Building tables, shortening texts
An instruction out of keywords, a table out of an e-mail, one paragraph out of three. Inserted where the cursor stands.

Searching the wiki and answering
"Where does it say how we reset the router?" It searches what you are allowed to see, and points to the page.

Creating pages, translating
"Create a page in the Projects space using our template." The instruction in French for Lausanne, as a page beside the original.

Finding pictures, with a licence
Image search across nine archives, with source and author recorded as the picture is inserted. Generating images where no suitable photograph exists.
Eight AI connections. Without credits.
A connection belongs either to the wiki or to a person. The wiki administrator sets up the shared ones; whoever has a key of their own enters it in their profile and is the only one who sees it. ThurWiki does not charge for the usage.
Questions about the AI assistant
How does this differ from Rovo in Confluence?
Three points. Rovo bills against credit allowances per user and plan; ThurWiki charges nothing for the AI, you bring your own key or a model in your own house. Rovo is tied to the Atlassian cloud; ThurWiki accepts Ollama or LiteLLM on your own premises. And the ThurWiki assistant works strictly with the rights of the signed-in person and writes only when the box is ticked.
Does the assistant invent content?
It answers from what it finds in the wiki, and points to the page. What it does not find, it says so. Everything it writes stands in the conversation as a suggestion and appears in the history under your name; you see every step and can bring any change back. No model can guarantee freedom from mistakes; that is why control stays with you.
Which models can ThurWiki use?
Claude (API key), ChatGPT, Google Gemini, DeepSeek, your own LiteLLM gateway and Ollama in your own house. For voice input, Whisper, through OpenAI or on your own hardware. Voice notes and meetings are transcribed by Whisper in your own house or by ChatGPT (OpenAI). Several points of access in parallel, switchable inside the assistant.
Does our content go to the provider?
Only what you hand over in the question and through the open page, and only to the access you chose. For confidential company matters you set up a model in your own house. For that the address of your server has to be entered; without it the access cannot be saved.
How does voice input work?
A microphone button in the assistant. Either through the recognition built into the browser (Chrome, Edge), which as a rule sends the recording to the browser maker, or through a recording that the wiki sends to Whisper, outside the house via OpenAI or on your own hardware. The microphone is only live while the button is pressed.
AI in a company wiki without credits: the ThurWiki assistant works with the rights of the signed-in person, writes only with permission, runs on your own key at Claude, OpenAI, Gemini or DeepSeek or on Ollama and LiteLLM in your own house, with voice input through the browser or Whisper and with transcripts of voice notes and meetings. An alternative to Atlassian Rovo and Atlassian Intelligence for companies that want to know where their questions go.
Ask it yourself.
An AI connection is set up in the demo wiki. Ask it the questions your team asks every day.
