ThurWiki is wiki software from Switzerland for knowledge management in companies: an intranet wiki, an internal knowledge base, a Confluence replacement. It is built for companies that want to replace their wiki: because of a search that finds nothing, because of pages that quietly go stale, because of an editor the maker switches off on its own timetable, because of prices assembled from seats, add-on subscriptions, apps and AI credits, or because Confluence Data Center ends on 28 March 2029.
ThurWiki brings 85 macros and 41 connectors with it: invoices from bexio, customers and tickets from WHMCS, records from Abacus, issues from Jira, Redmine, Zammad and YouTrack, files from Gogs, GitHub, GitLab, Nextcloud and Seafile, hosts and problems from Zabbix, virtual machines from Proxmox, build results from Jenkins, contacts from SuiteCRM and vtiger, appointments from CalDAV, messages from the mailbox. Meetings and voice notes you record in the browser; speech recognition writes them out if you want. The search finds by sound and by meaning right into PDF, Word and Excel attachments. Four-eyes approvals, simultaneous editing, two-factor authentication and WebAuthn are all included; SSO with Entra ID and Google Workspace belongs to the Enterprise package. You connect the surrounding systems through the documented REST API: 36 endpoints, 257 actions, API keys as service accounts, Markdown in and out. Import with a preview from Confluence Cloud, Server and Data Center, MediaWiki, DokuWiki, XWiki, BookStack, Notion and Markdown; from Wiki.js, Docmost and Outline through their Markdown export.
As a BookStack alternative, ThurWiki brings what BookStack users miss most often: a page tree as deep as you like instead of shelf, book, chapter and page, and simultaneous editing in which the changes flow together, rather than a mere warning that somebody else is writing. As a Wiki.js alternative, operation, backup and updates done by us, without waiting for the next major release. As an XWiki alternative, a wiki that gets by without scripts of your own and whose operation we take on.
